About The Role
The Redress Response Officer's primary responsibility is to ensure the provision of effective information release services to the department, which includes requests under the National Redress Scheme (NRS), Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 1991, Information Privacy Principles, government circulars, court orders and associated legislation. This includes liaising with relevant stakeholders and assisting in the identification, location and coordination of the retrieval of documents across sites within the agency, including high quality and timely responses to requests.
The Redress Response Officer will be required to effectively engage with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high quality and compliant information release practices within required timeframes, including the provision of NRS advice in relation to processes across the agency.

Special conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
ASO5 $85,790 - $95,413 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
