**About the role
Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to coordinate and support the implementation of safety and quality activities within Metro North Mental Health - The Prince Charles Hospital (MNMH-TPCH), ensuring alignment with MNMH and Metro North Health frameworks.Promote continuous improvement in clinical practice by applying relevant standards, including the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards, the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) Evaluation and Quality Improvement Program (EQuIP), and the National Standards for Mental Health Services (NSMHS), within MNMH-TPCH.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Apply a high-level of clinical knowledge and skills to initiate and facilitate the development and review of policies and procedures for the mental health service to ensure alignment with evidence-based practice and relevant standards.
Develop effective professional relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders to inform and influence opportunities for improvement and the implementation of best practice, including leading quality improvement activities and outcomes.
Apply professional and clinical evidence that supports continuous improvement of local service delivery that informs the review and delivery of innovative patient care models to achieve care outcomes that support the continuum of care.
Provide clinical practice supervision to less experienced staff and participate in the education and supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students to ensure maintenance of professional clinical standards within the service.
