Early Childhood Educator - Full-Time - 0-2 years room

Ganeinu is a stand alone, exceeding rated, 53 place long day care service in St Ives offering places for children aged from babies to 5 years old. We staff our service with educators who love children and create a warm and welcoming environment for the children in our care and their families.

We run our service as a 'home away from home' with a real community feel, linked to our Jewish origins. Families at Ganeinu are from all different backgrounds and reflect the St Ives cultural mix, as do our educators and staff. We have ECTs supporting each room, with others pursuing their studies. All decisions are made in house, all voices are heard, everyone here matters.

We are looking for an experienced (0-2 years) educator to join our Tiny Treasures team full-time as room leader. The successful applicant will have the confidence to drive programming and documentation in the room, working in partnership with other educators and parents to help the children form secure relationships, reach their developmental milestones, develop a love for learning and prepare for the next stage of their learning journey using Circle of Security principles.

What you'll need

  • to be available to work four flexible 9.5 hour days, starting at 7.30am or finishing at 6pm, or 5 shorter days per week
  • a clear NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • a Police Check (within 6 months old)
  • an ACECQA accredited Early Childhood qualification (Diploma or ECT)
  • A child protection certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Willingness to be appointed as a Responsible Person
  • Current First Aid certificate (including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis management)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with children aged 0-2 years in a childcare setting
  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
