About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Workshop Manager/Senior Technician to join the team at Bridgestone Select Tyre & Auto in West Lakes, South Australia. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the workshop and providing expert-level technical service and repairs.

What you'll be doing

  • Overseeing the efficient and effective operation of the workshop, including scheduling, workload management and team supervision
  • Performing complex diagnostic testing and repairs on a wide range of vehicle makes and models
  • Mentoring and training junior technicians to develop their skills and expertise
  • Maintaining detailed records of all work undertaken and parts used
  • Ensuring the workshop adheres to all relevant safety and quality standards
  • Communicating with customers to provide updates and manage their expectations
  • Liaising with suppliers to order parts and equipment as required

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a qualified automotive technician, with a proven track record of successfully managing a workshop
  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems and the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of faults
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
  • Relevant trade qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Automotive Technology
  • A passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to providing high-quality service
