About the role

Mawson Lakes Mazda is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Technician to join our team in Mawson Lakes, SA. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of Mazda vehicles, ensuring they are kept in top condition and running smoothly. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Diagnosing and repairing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in Mazda vehicles
  • Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, brake inspections etc
  • Documenting all work performed and maintaining detailed service records
  • Collaborating with the service team to ensure efficient and timely completion of customer requests
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and ensuring a safe work environment

What we're looking for

  • Formal qualifications in automotive technology or a related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an Automotive Technician, preferably in a Mazda dealership or service centre
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Good communication skills and the ability to effectively liaise with customers
  • A valid driver's licence and the ability to operate a range of automotive tools and equipment
