As part of an exciting phase of strategic growth, the Brisbane office of this leading national firm is seeking an experienced Senior Professional Indemnity Lawyer to join its dynamic and highly regarded team.

This role offers genuine flexibility, including the ability to work from home 3–4 days per week once settled, adaptable start and finish times, and a supportive, high-performing culture.

What You'll Do

You'll be part of a team known for its client-focused approach and excellence in handling complex and high-value matters. Your role will include:

  • Managing a varied portfolio of professional indemnity claims
  • Providing strategic advice and litigation leadership across a range of sectors
  • Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the team's development

Areas of Practice:

  • Complex Litigation – multi-party disputes and strategic commercial advice
  • Management Liability – defending professionals and handling regulatory investigations
  • Construction PI – acting for engineers, architects, and builders
  • Legal PI & Environmental Liability – defending solicitors and advising on environmental coverage
  • Directors & Officers Liability – representing clients in class actions and regulatory matters
  • Financial Lines Coverage – policy interpretation and indemnity disputes
  • Fidelity & Financial Crime – advising on fraud and dishonesty claims

Who We're Looking For

  • A lawyer with 4+ years' experience in defendant insurance, ideally with a professional indemnity focus
  • Currently at the Senior Associate level or Associate approaching SA
  • Experience in mentoring or guiding junior team members
  • A collaborative professional with strong technical and client skills
