The People Unit at UTS is entering a new phase of transformation focused on building a more agile, digitally enabled and strategically aligned HR function. This transformation will see us enhance the support we provide to the university, streamline our processes, and uplift our capabilities across all areas of the employee lifecycle.
As part of this journey, we are seeking a People Administratorto join our Client Services team on a permanent part-time (2 days per week) basis. This is a great opportunity to grow your experience in HR administration within a supportive, purpose-driven team that values accuracy, collaboration and service excellence.
About the Role
The People Administrator plays a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations by providing administrative support across a range of employee lifecycle processes. Working as part of the Client Services team, you will manage HR data, maintain accurate employment records, process key documentation, and provide timely responses to internal and external stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Accurately entering and updating HR data in systems to ensure employee records are current and compliant.
- Processing a range of HR documentation, including notifications of appointments, resignations, background checks, HR forms, position changes, and employment verifications with accuracy and efficiency.
- Supporting the generation of reports and administrative tasks such as preparing staff updates and terminated employee reports.
- Working closely with People Advisors, the Payroll team, and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth HR operations.
- Supporting the People Unit with general administrative tasks as required.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience in data entry and document processing with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- While experience with TRIM and/or an Oracle-based HR systems is highly desirable it is not essential – the ability to quickly pick up the navigation of a complex employee records system is the most essential criteria.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
- A collaborative approach with a willingness to support team members and work towards shared goals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

What We Offer
Full Time Base Salary Range: $77,194 - $82,568 per annum (this will be pro-rata for part-time / 2 days)
This role also attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.
This role will be offered on a part-time (2 days per week), on a continuing (permanent) basis.
