As our Scientist (Parasitology/Entomology), you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely diagnostic services that support Queensland's livestock industries, wildlife health, and national biosecurity programs. Working within Animal Biosecurity and Welfare, you will contribute to diagnostic testing, research, and emergency preparedness to safeguard Queensland's animal industries.

You will know you're achieving success in the role when you:

  • deliver high-quality diagnostic testing and support continual improvement within a NATA-accredited veterinary laboratory
  • contribute to the design, validation and implementation of innovative diagnostic methods
  • work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve world-class biosecurity outcomes

It is a requirement for all Biosecurity Queensland positions to have a criminal history check completed.
