About the Role:

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a vital role in establishing and expanding the Mechanical Engineering department. Working alongside our Electrical Engineers, fabrication & machine shop experts. You will report directly to the Engineering manager. Your responsibilities will include:

· Taking an active role in executing Mechanical Engineering projects and tasks within the department.

· Creating detail drawings & BOM's while enhancing existing systems & processes

· Collaborating with other team members to drive innovation and excellence.

Ideal Candidate:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Proficiency in Machine design, particularly in the roll forming, panel line and robot automation sectors.
  • Familiarity with MRP or ERP systems would be an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with AutoCAD Mechanical software.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Autodesk Inventor & Vault software.
  • Ability to create detailed engineering workshop & assembly drawings and work with large scale assemblies, BOM's, blocks, and part references.
  • Experience in FEA Modelling.
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic & Electrical systems would also be an advantage.
  • Understanding of relevant Australian Standards.
  • Advanced Diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, with a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and time management skills
