Independent Timber Supplies is looking for an experienced Timber Manufacturing Hand to join our thriving business.  This position is an incredible opportunity to explore and progress your skills in our industry.  We will consider Machine Operation experienced, or Trades Assistant experienced people wishing to take the next step into this dynamic role and learn new skills

Who are we and what we need

Independent Timber Supplies are a WA business that is locally owned and been operating for over 30 years.  We service a range of Project Builders, Custom Builders and Owner Builders in the Western Australian building market.

The successful person will be responsible for producing quality engineered prefabricated roof, floor and wall systems in a busy, dynamic and growing team environment. The role would suit a 'hands on' person with a strong work ethic and someone that takes pride in their work.

Although not essential, hand tool experience, working with timber, carpentry, reading drawings or fabrication would be highly regarded.

About the Timber Manufacturing Hand role:

  • Manufacturing of timber frames and trusses, using saw operations
  • Physical loading of timber for machining
  • Using computer systems to reduce waste and increase accuracy.
  • Being multi skilled and being able to multitask between stations.
  • Hand tool use
  • General housekeeping to promote a safe and efficient workplace.

To Successful you will need:

  • Willingness to Drug and Alcohol testing and understanding that random testing may be done during employment.
  • Hand tool experience is highly regarded.
  • Timber, fabrication or construction knowledge highly desirable.
  • Safe work practices are essential.
