Machine Operator | Saw Operator

Our Opportunity for you

Independent Timber Supplies is looking for an experienced Machine Saw Operator to join our thriving business.  This is a vacant position with an incredible opportunity to explore and progress your skills in our industry.  We will consider machine operation experience that is not in the timber industry, to take the next step into this dynamic role and learn new skills

Who are we and what we need

Independent Timber Supplies are a WA business that is locally owned and been operating for over 30 years.  We service a range of Project Builders, Custom Builders and Owner Builders in the Western Australian building market.  

About the role:

  • Manufacturing of Timber frames and trusses, using saw operations
  • Physical loading of timber for machining.
  • Using computer systems to reduce waste and increase accuracy.
  • Being multi skilled and being able to multitask between stations.
  • Machine maintenance and troubleshooting
  • General housekeeping to promote a safe and efficient workplace.

To Successful you will need:

  • Willingness to Drug and Alcohol testing
  • Proven experience and knowledge of machine operating.
  • Timber or construction knowledge desirable.
  • The desire to be part of a safe and successful team.
  • Be able to produce a police check if required
