Are you an experienced Electrical Design Draftsperson, or an industrial electrician looking to upskill and bring your expertise to a dynamic and innovative team? Are you passionate about sinking your teeth into complex electrical and control systems upgrades in the water sector?

We're seeking a highly motivated professional to join our Witthoft Engineering team and help us deliver outstanding solutions to our clients.

About the Role

As an Electrical Design Draftsperson, you will play a pivotal role in the preparation of detailed electrical design drawings, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all documentation.

You'll collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to bring concepts to life while maintaining industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and other technical drawings.

Utilise AutoCAD or EPLAN software to create and modify design documents.

Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards and regulations.

Work closely with the engineering and project management teams to ensure designs meet project requirements.

Manage drawing revisions and maintain accurate documentation.

Contribute to continuous improvement in design processes and practices.

Perform design investigations including physical inspection of brownfield installations.

Supervise and mentor junior drafting resources.  

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Trade Background: A solid foundation in the electrical trade is essential.

Experience: Passionate about delivering brownfield electrical and control systems upgrades with exposure to the water and wastewater sectors.

Software Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD or EPLAN is a must.

Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in design and documentation.

Teamwork: Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Problem-Solving: The ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.

Knowledge of industry standards and regulations is highly desirable.
