Are you a hands-on Project Manager/Project Engineer with a passion for both project delivery and estimating? Looking for a role that offers diverse project exposure across water, wastewater, utilities, and industrial services?
At ASG Civil & Industrial, we are expanding our team and have an exciting opportunity for a driven Project Engineer to be a key player in our Melbourne operations.
Based out of our Laverton North depot, you'll support the delivery of works across metro Melbourne, Western, and Eastern Victoria.

As a Project Manager/Project Engineer, you will play a dual role, contributing both to project delivery and project estimating & tendering. You will work closely with Project Managers, Field Crews, Operations Managers, and Senior Management to align estimates with operational requirements and ensure seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Coordination & Execution: Plan, manage, and oversee project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Project Estimation & Tendering: Prepare accurate cost estimates, tender submissions, and scopes for projects.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Risk & OHS Management: Maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance, and risk management across all projects.
- Process Improvement: Assist in refining estimating processes, work methodologies, and operational efficiencies.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Project Management, or a related field (preferred), industry experience will also be considered for those ready to step up into a project role that can demonstrate project delivery experience.
- Industry experience in a relevant field (water/wastewater, utilities, industrial services, or civil construction).
- Experience in estimating, tender preparation, and project management.
- Excellent planning, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under varying contractual conditions.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- A team player with excellent communication, time management, and decision-making abilities.
