Sports Turf Apprentice

Ellerston Golf Course – Upper Hunter Valley, NSW

Ellerston Golf Course is seeking an energetic and motivated Sports Turf Apprentice to join our Greenkeeping Team.

Under the guidance of experienced turf professionals, you'll develop practical skills and knowledge in turf science, golf course presentation, machinery operation, irrigation systems, and sustainable land care.

Key Responsibilities


• Assist in preparing and maintaining greens, tees, fairways, and surrounds


• Learn and apply irrigation, fertilisation, and pest management techniques


• Operate turf machinery safely and efficiently


• Contribute to daily course set-up and presentation


• Participate in projects that reflect Ellerston's values of Holistic Stewardship and Creative Expression

About You


• Positive attitude and commitment to learning


• Enjoy hands-on outdoor work in all conditions


• Team player with strong communication and reliability


• Interest in golf, sports turf, or environmental management


• Current driver's licence.
