About Us.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen All Rounder at the Strathbogie General Store. This position includes cooking the menu, food prep, making and presenting take home meals, along with bringing enthusiasm to our great team.

We are a rustic country kitchen in the beautiful town of Strathbogie. We are the heart of lovely community and also a tourist destination. The Strathbogie Geneal Store offers country home cooked meals, house made cakes and sweet treats. We are open seven days a week.

Position Overview and Requirements.

The ability to prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.

Including all breakfast and lunch menu.

Manage kitchen prep and stock control.

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen/coolroom area, following cleaning schedules.

Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.

Cook and present meals for our heat and eat take home meals. Keeping management over stock levels and varieties in the take home products.

Work enthusiastically as part of a small team.

Basic coffee skill, or the willingness to develop coffee skills.

What we offer:

Job flexibility, this position can be anything from 3 to 5 days a week on a permanent fortnightly roster. We open 7 days a week, this position does require some weekend shifts.

We pay in alignment with the Restaurant Industry Award, The level in accordance to skill set displayed. With the opportunity to further discuss at the 3 month review.
