What's so exciting about this role?

The Credit & Risk team at
flexicommercial
is responsible for managing the end-to-end credit life cycle of our customers. The purpose of the Commercial Collections Officer role is to recover overdue Commercial Financial Contracts and mitigate loss to the business. This role is ideal for an experienced collections professional who has litigation experience, can build strong relationships and thrives both independently and within a team.

What Does An Average Day Look Like?

No day is average at humm but here's an idea of what you can expect to do in this role:

  • Manage vendor account relationships and oversee portfolio arrears.
  • Collect delinquent accounts while ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Investigate and resolve account issues through reconciliation and dispute resolution.
  • Case manage complex delinquency situations, offering tailored solutions that align with business needs.
  • Initiate legal recovery actions, including default listings, asset repossession, and collaboration with solicitors and third-party agents.
  • Conduct skip tracing and negotiate resolutions with clients to reduce arrears.

We're also looking for someone who brings:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Commercial Collections Environment (2+ years)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the commercial asset financing industry in Australia
  • Understanding of the litigation process
  • Computer literacy including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively autonomously or in a team environment.
  • Proven dispute resolution and negotiation skills
