We're looking for a passionate and reliable Childcare Cook to join our warm and welcoming early learning centre. If you love preparing nutritious meals and creating a positive food culture for children, we'd love to hear from you

As our centre cook, you will:

  • Plan and prepare healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks for children aged 0–5

  • Cater to dietary requirements, allergies, and cultural preferences

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment

  • Order and manage food supplies within budget

  • Collaborate with educators to support children's nutrition education

Essential Requirements:

  • Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) Certificate – must include either:

  • SITXFSA006 – Participate in safe food handling practices, or

  • SIRRFSA001 – Handle food safely in a retail environment

  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge in food safety and hygiene (Standard 3.2.2A of the Food Standards Code)

  • Experience preparing meals in a childcare or similar setting

  • Understanding of nutrition guidelines for early childhood

  • Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)

  • Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis training (preferred)
