As a Marketing Assistant, you will support the Marketing Manager and ensure that the SPAR brand(s) is presented consistently, campaigns are delivered to deadline, and the company remains visible in the market with a competitive merchandise range in price and depth. You will also be involved with the Co-ordination of weekly catalogue deliverables, promotional/marketing media/POS and reporting advice to retail stores.

The role / Responsibilities:

* Prepare, attend and participate in team meetings when requested

* Assisting in planning and executing digital marketing strategies

* Creating engaging, creative and unique content

* Optimise content and campaign results through paid advertising strategies

* Creating and distributing EDMs.

* Support marketing campaigns and events

* Comply with and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner aligned with business processes all company

* Policies and procedures

Qualifications & Experience:

* Education: Preferred but not essential - Tertiary qualification in Marketing or a related field.

* Technical Skills: Medium to high level computer skills. MS office competency level 2 or higher.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite a real plus, Vision 6, Mailchimp, Canva, email platforms, or content scheduling tools. Promotions/Marketing Media Point of Sale and systems maintenance experience. Email Marketing Management (Design & Scheduling), Some Adobe Creative Cloud expertise, Social Media Content Creation and Management

* Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with FMCG industry trends, promotional strategies, and retail marketing practices. Previous experience in Retail / Wholesale or FMCG company preferred (but not essential)

* Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.

* Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work. High degree of strong organisational skills in order to meet timelines, Capacity to work independently

* Ability to constantly improve process and optimise outcomes

The Distribution Centre is technology-enabled, utilizing the latest ERP computer platform linked via warehouse management systems and RF technology.
