Camden Council in partnership with the NSW Government, is offering a Volunteer Programs Trainee position as part of the 'Fresh Start for Local Government Apprentices, Trainees and Cadets Program.

SALARY: $36,800 - $49,280 p.a + Super

*Please note that salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award*

Work Type: Temporary Full Time up to 2 years, proposed commencement in late November / early December 2025

The Volunteer Programs Traineeship within our Community Outcomes branch provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while completing a Certificate IV in Business Administration - a fantastic way to kick-start a successful career

What you will be doing

• Supporting the onboarding of volunteers and maintaining volunteer systems
• Assisting in the delivery of engaging volunteer programs and events
• Performing administrative and reporting tasks to support program operations
• Helping implement Camden Council's Volunteer Management Policy
• Working closely with the Volunteer Programs Coordinator to ensure smooth program delivery

What We Are Looking For

Essential

• Willingness to complete Certificate IV in Business Administration.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to a dynamic team.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Proactive attitude and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, along with effective interpersonal abilities.
• Experience in MS Office suite at a basic-intermediate level.
• Current driver's licence (Full, Provisional P1 or P2).

Desirable

• Experience in the customer service industry.
• Experience working as a volunteer.
