Salary: $86,000 plus Superannuation

We are seeking a Technical Sales Representative (Industrial Products) to drive sales growth in the solar rooftop sector. This role combines technical expertise with strategic sales acumen to promote solar energy solutions for commercial and industrial clients. The ideal candidate will leverage market knowledge, client relationships, and collaboration with technical teams to deliver tailored solar systems.

Qualifications:

: Bachelor's degree in business, economics or a related field (preferred)

Proven sales or technical sales experience in industrial products, ideally in renewable energy or solar sectors

Skills:

The prospective applicants must possess the following attributes and skills:

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of solar system components, financing options, and regulatory incentives.
  • Must be an Australian citizen or PR
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for client meetings

Key Responsibilities:

Your tasks and duties will include:

· Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the solar energy and HVAC sectors.

· compiling lists of prospective client businesses using directories and other sources

· acquiring and updating knowledge of employers' and competitors' goods and services, and market conditions

· visiting regular and prospective client businesses to establish and act on selling opportunities

· assessing customers' needs and recommending and explaining goods and services to them

· monitoring customers' changing needs and competitor activity, and reporting these developments to sales management

· Preparing and delivering technical presentations and proposals to clients.

· Coordinating with installation teams to ensure seamless project execution.

· Providing technical advice and solutions tailored to client needs.

· Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and product advancements.

· quoting and negotiating prices and credit terms, and completing contracts and recording orders

· arranging delivery of goods, installation of equipment and the provision of services

· reporting to sales management on sales made and the marketability of goods and services

· following up with clients to ensure satisfaction with goods and services purchased, and resolving any problems arising

· preparing sales reports and maintaining and submitting records of business expenses incurred
