- We are seeking an experienced and passionate Japanese Chef to join our team at Emmario Pty Ltd in Nowra, NSW. This full-time role offers the opportunity to showcase your skills and creativity in authentic Japanese cuisine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a range of Japanese dishes, including sushi, sashimi, and other traditional specialties.
- Plan menus and develop new recipes that highlight authentic flavours and innovation.
- Maintain consistency, presentation, and high-quality standards across all dishes.
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff to ensure skill development and teamwork.
- Manage kitchen operations, stock control, and food safety compliance.
- Work collaboratively with the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Requirements:
- Minimum Cert III & IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma in Hospitality Management.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Japanese Chef.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese ingredients, cooking techniques, and presentation.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
