Sedgman is proud to offer the position of Senior HSE Advisor to join our team in Brisbane.
In this role you will provide HSE specialist advice and support to individual project teams, support the Project Manager to implement and continually improve the HSE Management System and HSE performance, monitor compliance with legislative requirements, and assist to identify, develop and apply HSE training programs.
Key Responsibilities Provide HSE specialist advice and assistance to all regions where required and achievable.
Provide assistance and advice to the Project Manager to develop, review and implement the Project HSE Management Plan, risk registers, operational HSE procedures and programs.
Maintain knowledge of applicable legal and other HSE requirements governing operational scope.
Ensure copies of relevant system documentation are available, current, applicable and being used.
Research, develop and implement HSE programs to address project specific issues.
Develop, coordinate and present generic and project specific HSE inductions and training for Sedgman and subcontractor personnel.
Event Reporting and Injury Management Lead and assist with audits of compliance to Sedgman's HSEQ management system requirements.
Maintain, administer and provide technical support of electronic HSEQ data management systems.
Qualifications Degree qualified or Project/Trade based certificate and significant relevant experience Current Driver's license Certificate IV Trainer and Assessor Workplace rehabilitation and return to work coordinator Essential skills, knowledge and experience Exposure to national and international Health and safety legislation Development and implementation of HSE management systems aligned to local and international standards Computer literate – intermediate level, ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and web-based programs Interpersonal skills and good communication – ability to communicate with different levels of employees in the Organisation A minimum of 3 years in a similar role in the resources sector engineering and services industry Desired skills, knowledge and experience Internal Auditing to AS/NZS 4801, ISO 14001 Coal general induction (Standard 11), Mine Site Safety Supervisor (S1, S2, S3)What We Can Offer You Flexible arrangements to help you achieve work-life balance A focus on your professional development and opportunities to grow your career within Sedgman A collaborative focus on continuous improvement and innovation in our safety culture A friendly and social work environment How To Join Our Team If this sounds like an opportunity you would be interested in, please submit your CV by clicking "apply" now.
