About the Role
We are seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join our team and make a meaningful impact on our business and our people. This role is central to driving initiatives that align with our values, empowering employees, and creating a workplace where everyone can thrive.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager - Corporate Services and Business Improvement, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of our HR strategies across the organisation. This role is based in a convenient Brisbane Western Suburbs location.
What You'll Be Doing:
As a trusted partner to leaders and employees, your key responsibilities will include:
- Offer expert guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Provide recommendations to improve workforce planning and succession strategies as well as expert advice on employment legislation, awards, and workplace policies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of IR strategies that align with organisational goals.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including developing job advertisements, screening candidates, facilitating interviews and assisting with onboarding.
- Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, promote diversity and inclusion, and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Coordinate programs that support employee well-being and mental health.
Develop, update, and implement HR policies to ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of HR projects, including learning and development programs, leadership development, and organisational change initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources,
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar HR advisory role, with exposure to a broad range of HR functions.
- Knowledge of the Manufacturing and Associated industries Award and Clerks Award 2020
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, award interpretation and employment legislation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
