Process Operator

What you will do:
At Rocky Point Sugar Mill you'll be responsible for overseeing the operation of sugar juice clarification, sugar juice evaporation, sugar syrup crystallization, and the sugar massecuite centrifuge process. This includes working with other stations and tradespeople to ensure timely, efficient, and specification driven operation of industrial plant. Your roles will include using SCADA/PLC system to control heating vessels, pumps, valves and various machines, conducting routine quality checks on sugar products, work to SOPs and troubleshoot unique problems, manage inventory, and support safety initiates.
- Starting rate from $35 per hour onwards
- Afternoon (12.5%) and night shift (15%) loading
- Annual leave loading (17.5%)
- Weekend loading (50%)
- Overtime loading (double-time)
- Seasonal June-December
What you'll need:
- Previous experience in manufacturing or processing environments
- Computer literacy and ability to operate SCADA/PLC systems
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Full Australian working rights (no sponsorship available)
- Availability to work rotating 8 and 12 hour shifts including nights and weekends
- Training and uniforms provided.
