Are you passionate about regenerative farming and eager to contribute to a newly-developed organic market garden? We are seeking a dedicated Market Garden Coordinator to join our team in beautiful Margaret River, WA. Nestled in a stunning coastal region renowned for its rich soils and biodiversity, our organic farm is committed to producing high-quality, fresh produce while nurturing the environment. Landsmith Home Farm is a 160ha farm that puts locally grown and regenerative food production centre-stage, and is conveniently located just five minutes from Margaret River town centre. The Market Garden (Field and Greenhouse) is part of a broader farm comprising cattle and beef production; small on-farm forestry areas, oak savannah plantings and natural, remnant vegetation.

The Landsmith Market Garden has been through an intensive establishment phase, with equipment, facilities, post-harvest processing and irrigation, among many other elements, now complete. This is an exciting time to join the team, and be part of the early-stage team bringing the vision to life. We are looking for someone who is ready and keen to get growing, develop a productive enterprise and bring healthy, organically grown food to the region and to Perth.

This is a 4 day a week role, leading the team and overseeing all aspects of daily market garden operations and sales. This includes coordinating crop planning, planting, harvesting, and sales and deliveries of up to 8 to 10 different crops. All of your team are hands on, including a Team Leader with a dedicated compliance and record-keeping focus, a field Farm Hand and a processing Farm Hand on harvest days.

Essential skills and knowledge


• Sound knowledge and practical experience of growing organic fruit and vegetables.


• Ability to develop and implement a crop plan, in communication with customers.


• Broad foundation knowledge of regenerative agriculture including soils, nutrition, water management, weed control, pest and disease management, etc.


• Experience and confidence working with machinery, including tractors and implements.


• Ability to prioritise workload, use initiative, and work independently.


• Use and oversight of information management systems to record, track and retrieve information (.e.g excel, software programs etc).


• A valid manual driver's license and a commitment to safety in the workplace.

Desired skills and attributes


• Knowledge and experience in organic, biological market gardening and/or farming practices.


• Maintain and manage garden irrigation systems (training provided).

Physical requirements of the role


• Physically fit to perform manual work associated with market gardening.


• Ability to work outdoors and tolerate varying weather conditions


• Willing to work flexible hours at certain times during seasonal peaks, including weekends.
