Your Mission

As a Field Technician you will help support Australian and global agriculture by deploying and maintaining a rapidly expanding fleet of BioScout Samplers. You will travel to all reaches of Australia and future markets, in an effort to support BioScout's passion for giving those access to data previously unknown. There will also be opportunities to learn and help produce BioScout's Samplers in our Sydney based office.

We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate technician who can take the initiative and own their work in deploying and supporting our growing fleet.

  • You are self-motivated and able to work independently in a dynamic workplace
  • You enjoy physical work and a hands-on approach.
  • Must hold an unrestricted Australian drivers licence

Your Experience

  • Prior experience in a hands-on role, requiring physical labour.
  • Strong communication skills for an array of customer/ stakeholder interactions
  • Highly adaptive to strict OH&S protocols
  • Highly experienced self managing time
  • Experience maintaining documentation in a timely manner
  • Must hold an unrestricted Australian drivers licence

Not essential but highly regarded

  • Agricultural background or experience
  • Prior technician experience
  • First Aid certified (BioScout will support the completion of this otherwise)
  • Experience working under biosecurity procedures
  • Background knowledge working with electrical and mechatronic systems
Remuneration and Perks

  • Casual rate of $31 p.h. + super in the office

  • $38 p.h remuneration when traveling
