About the Role

As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll be a vital part of our maintenance team in Dry Creek, SA, ensuring our fleet of earthmoving equipment and auxiliary plant operates at peak performance. This role is crucial to the success of our project, focusing on diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and high-quality repairs.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines, trucks, earthmoving equipment and other plant.
  • Conduct detailed inspections and diagnostics to prevent breakdowns and minimise downtime.
  • Field Service and Workshop work available
  • Ensure all work adheres strictly to company and WHS standards, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workshop, including all tools and equipment.
  • Accurately document all completed work and maintain detailed maintenance records.

What You'll Bring

  • Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Commercial or Earthmoving.
  • Previous experience with Caterpillar, Komatsu, and Volvo earthmoving machinery.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong, unwavering commitment to safety.
  • Your own tools for the job. We will provide you with specialised tools required to be successful.
  • A current Driver's Licence,
  • A great work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of workshop housekeeping and safety.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Possession of additional high-risk or machinery tickets (e.g., white card, forklift, EWP, dogging).
  • 3 years Trade experience post apprenticeship
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol and Fit for Work assessment.
