Downer is seeking experienced Heavy Vehicle or Plant Mechanics to join our Mechanical Fitter team in Eastern Creek. If you're passionate about quality work, safety, and enjoy variety with travel opportunities, this is your chance to grow your career.

What You'll Do
  • Service, maintain, and repair heavy plant machinery, trucks, and diesel engines
  • Diagnose faults and provide breakdown support in the field
  • Operate and maintain asphalt and earthmoving equipment (e.g., stabilisers, skid steers, loaders, pavers, spray trucks)
  • Contribute to a safe, collaborative, and high-performing team
  • Travel to sites as required and support both workshop and field service
What You'll Bring
  • Trade qualification - Heavy Vehicle or Plant Mechanic
  • Forklift Licence (required) | MR/HR Truck Licence (preferred)
  • Proven experience with heavy equipment, trucks & diesel engines
  • Strong hydraulic and auto-electrical knowledge (advantageous)
  • Excellent fault-finding and breakdown support skills
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site as needed
  • Team-first attitude with a strong commitment to Zero Harm
  • Flexibility for day and night shifts (night shift preferred)
