Coonamble Feedlot is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to support the daily operation and maintenance of our heavy vehicles, agricultural machinery, and feedlot equipment. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of our machinery fleet across both feedlot and farming activities.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of equipment, including:

  • Feedlot machinery
  • Trucks, trailers, and utilities
  • General workshop maintenance and record-keeping

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a busy, practical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, diagnose, and repair diesel engines and hydraulic systems
  • Undertake preventative maintenance and maintain accurate records
  • Carry out breakdown repairs efficiently to minimise downtime
  • Work closely with management and operators to plan maintenance schedules
  • Maintain workshop tools, safety standards, and spare parts inventory
About You
  • Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Cert III or IV)
  • Experience with feedlot or agricultural machinery highly regarded
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious
  • Current driver's licence essential (HR licence desirable)
