The role

Cloudcon Pty Ltd is seeking a talented QA Engineer (Mobile & Web, Manual-Focused) to join our team. In this full-time role based in Abbotsford, VIC, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our mobile and web applications through comprehensive manual testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform manual testing of mobile and web applications, focusing on end-to-end workflows.
  • Validate configurable modules across multiple tenants, ensuring rules/scripts behave as expected.
  • Design, maintain, and execute detailed test cases, scenarios, and exploratory tests.
  • Identify and document defects, usability issues, and performance gaps, with clear reproduction steps.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to embed QA practices into sprints.
  • Contribute to building automation coverage (Appium, Playwright, etc.) as part of a gradual shift towards automation.
  • Support release readiness by running regression tests and validating hotfixes.
  • Provide feedback on QA processes and help foster a QA mindset across the team.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in manual software testing, preferably in an agile environment (we move very quicky in a fast-paced release cycle)
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, principles, and techniques for mobile and web applications
  • Proficiency in creating and executing detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Experience in defect tracking and reporting, and the ability to communicate effectively with development teams
  • Familiarity with automation tools and the ability to write automated tests
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
