Employment Period: June August 2025

Incognitus is a global consulting and event management organisation specialising in the Leisure, Sport & Entertainment Sector with a focus on positioning our services in support of the client.

Incognitus is currently aiming to boost our database for some qualified trades and trade assistants within the Brisbane region with availability from 16th June – 23rd August to assist us deploy at the 2025 Royal Brisbane Show (The Ekka)

The Ekka is the annual agricultural show of Queensland. Being the largest the most loved annual show held in the State, attracting circa 400,000 people. The event typically showcases more than 21,000 competition entries from woodchop to giant vegetables, 10,000 animals from cattle and horse to cats and dogs, with world-class live entertainment, award-winning food and wine, carnival rides and showbags, family shopping, educational activities and much more.

To be successful, you must be able to:

  • Move and lift heavy equipment as required.

  • Comfortable with outdoor work.

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

  • Have a friendly and positive with a 'can do' attitude.

  • Have a good command of English language and written skills.

  • Work effectively both individually and in a team environment.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Work flexible shifts and weekends if requested.

  • Be available for the entire duration of the pre, during and post event periods (as required)

  • Have no working restrictions (Australian Citizenship or non-restricted working rights)

  • Assisting tradespeople with general tasks

  • Operating machinery and using power tools

  • Cleaning, preparing and maintaining work sites and tools

  • Performing assigned duties independently

  • Ensuring tools and equipment are stored safely

Assisting Qualifications - Please notify you have any of the following :

  • Valid White Card (construction site safety).

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Valid Forklift license

  • Valid Boom license

  • HR Truck license

  • Previous experience in Plumbing/Electrician/Carpentry

  • Offshore trade licence (qualification considered)

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous Trade assistant experience (2-3 years' experience)

  • Basic knowledge of construction site operations.

  • High-risk tickets (e.g., HR Truck, forklift license, boom license etc.) – please mention in your application
