We are seeking a skilled and experienced AV Technician. This position is for a full-time role currently for fixed term period of 12 months with opportunity to extend or permanency.
This is a great opportunity - as an experienced AV Technician you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of projects within budget and to a high standard, while maintaining
quality standards and practices, safe work practices, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the day-to-day tasks of project work to ensure the successful completion of projects within budget and to a high standard.
- Ensure that site technicians carry out safe work practices and maintain a high level of support and customer satisfaction.
- Install professional AV equipment, set out installation works according to specification and instruction, and set out, cut, and install cables such as conduit, cable tray, ducting, and wire systems.
- Rack wiring, termination, monitoring, testing, and labelling, as well as reading and interpreting schematic diagrams, panel drawings, and rack layouts.
- Record and maintain relevant documentation pertaining to commissioning, line test and commission cabling systems, including field and inter-rack cabling.
- Travel to regional and remote client sites when required, provide on-site
- training and mentoring, and observe WH&S standards ensuring all work is completed in a safe manner.
- Maintain a high level of support and customer satisfaction, as well as completing unskilled tasks such as deliveries, cleaning, rubbish removal, and running errands as directed by supervisors.
- Oversee small groups of staff and projects with minimal supervision, provide solutions on ICT & AV equipment problems, and assist the commissioning team with the testing and commissioning of AV systems.
- Liaise with clients regarding the progress of projects by working closely and communicating effectively with other trades on site, such as electricians and builders, on a day-to-day basis.
- Perform other duties as required.
Ideal Candidate profile:
- Minimum 4 years of experience within AV
- Trade qualification in electronics, communications or audio visual or demonstrated industry equivalent.
- Holds a current open cable licence is desirable
- Current First Aid qualified or willing to obtain qualification
- Current valid Driver's License and Personal Vehicle
- Australian Citizenship to be able to access Secure Agency material.
