About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced AV Technician to cover for our current Senior Technician who will be on leave for 12 months. This position is for a full-term fixed term period of 12 months.
As the AV Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of projects within budget and to a high standard, while maintaining quality standards and practices, safe work practices, and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Be Doing
- Install professional AV equipment
- Set out installation works according to specification and instruction
- Set out, cut and install of cables such as conduit, cable tray, ducting and wire systems
- Rack wiring, termination and labelling
- Read and interpret schematic diagrams, panel drawings and rack layouts
- Record and maintain relevant documentation pertaining to commissioning
- Line Test and Commission cabling systems, including field and inter-rack cabling
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
- Travel to regional and remote client sites when required
- Observe WH&S standards ensuring all work is completed in a safe manner
- Oversee small groups of staff and projects with minimal supervision
- Provide solutions on ICT & AV equipment problems, and assist the commissioning team with the testing and commissioning of AV systems.
- Liaise with clients regarding the progress of projects by working closely and communicating effectively with other trades on site, such as electricians and builders, on a day-to-day basis
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a AV Installer or in a similar industry
- Trade qualification in electronics, communications or audio visual or demonstrated industry equivalent is desirable
- Holds current Construction Induction Card or willing to obtain
- Currently EWP licence and Cabler Registration and endorsements is desirable
- Current valid Driver's License and Personal Vehicle
- Australian Citizenship to be able to access Secure Agency sites.
