Position Available – In Home Care Educator

Location: Southport

Child: 5 years old, complex needs

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated, patient, and experienced educator to support a child with complex needs in a home environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in implementing structured routines, positive behaviour support strategies, and engaging activities tailored to the child's developmental needs.

Care Requirements:

  • Days & Hours:
  • Tuesday: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Thursday: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Saturday: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Hourly Rate: $38.00 per hour

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with ADHD, Autism, or other complex needs
  • Ability to provide structured routines and consistent support
  • Knowledge of positive behaviour strategies and developmental support
  • Ability to engage children in educational and recreational activities
  • Reliability and flexibility to meet scheduled care hours
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with families and support teams

Qualification:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care ACECQA approved Certified by a JP
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Experience working with multiple children in a home environment
  • Full driver's license and comfortable driving the family car
  • Flexibility to work varying days and shifts based on the family's roster
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with children and families
