About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Receptionist/Chiropractic Assistant to join our team at Bremer Chiropractic in Ipswich. This is a casual role, averaging 8 to 12 hours per week, that will involve providing high-quality administrative and patient support services in our busy chiropractic clinic.

The suitable candidate will need to be flexible and be available to work both morning and evening shifts on a rotating roster. Availability on Tuesday's between the hours of 7.30am and 6pm is essential, please do not apply if you are unavailable on a Tuesday during this time.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting and welcoming patients to the clinic in a friendly and professional manner
  • Scheduling appointments and managing the clinic's appointment calendar
  • Handling patient inquiries, medical records, and referral paperwork
  • Maintaining a clean and organised reception area
  • Providing general administrative support to the chiropractic team
  • Processing payment claims such as Medicare, HICAPS, Workcover and DVA.

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Proficient in using computer systems and electronic medical records
  • Flexibility in accepting shifts and covers
  • Experience with processing Medicare, Workcover and DVA claims highly desirable
