Adelaide, South Australia Maxima Group Full time

If you've built your career in Vocational Education, understand the operational nuts and bolts, and enjoy improving structure, compliance and performance, this role will give you the scope, influence and support to make a real impact.

  • Lead national operations for Maxima's Group Training division
  • Shape compliance, systems and processes across states for consistent service excellence
  • Work closely with the General Manager to influence strategy, drive improvements and deliver results

The Opportunity

This is a key leadership role within our Group Training division. Working closely with the General Manager, you'll lead national operational functions, drive continuous improvement, and ensure our apprentice and trainee services remain compliant, efficient, and ready for audit at any time.

You'll have the authority to make decisions, standardise processes across states, and guide the way we deliver Group Training now and into the future.

What You'll Lead

Strengthening Operations

  • Review, improve and embed policies, procedures and workflows to lift consistency and service quality
  • Shape national operational standards and ensure they are understood and followed across the organisation
  • Lead key operational projects, from concept through to successful delivery

Compliance & Quality

  • Maintain high-level compliance across all states and territories, ensuring alignment with legislation, funding contracts and audit requirements
  • Oversee internal audit activities, file quality, data integrity and documentation
  • Provide expert advice to the General Manager and leadership team on compliance, operational risk and continuous improvement
  • Build a culture of audit readiness and best practice

Systems & Processes

  • Improve the efficiency and compliance of recruitment, onboarding and administrative workflows
  • Support system enhancements, software rollouts and user training
  • Ensure changes to systems or processes are communicated clearly and consistently

About You

You're an experienced operator with a strong understanding of the Vocational Education sector and ideally the Group Training industry along with the compliance landscape that sits behind it. You enjoy improving processes, providing clarity, and helping teams deliver their best work. You're confident interpreting legislation and navigating the finer detail that comes with a national GTO.

You bring:

  • Strong knowledge of Apprenticeships/Traineeships, GTOstandards and VET practices
  • Proven experience in Group Training operations, compliance, or a similar environment
  • The ability to review systems, identify gaps and lift efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Sound analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights
  • Experience leading people, coaching teams or guiding technical specialists
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational software (JobAdder and Workforce One desirable)
  • A current National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

If you're passionate about meaningful work and excited by the opportunity to lead operational excellence,
