Aboriginal Family Support Services (AFSS) is a lead, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation that has been providing services to Aboriginal families and communities across South Australia for over 40 years.

Level 7 Step 3 - $124,092.80 plus a vehicle.

The Residential Services Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational delivery and governance of the Residential Services program. The role provides day-to-day management support, ensuring consistency, compliance, and quality across all residential care sites.

Who we are looking for

  • Provide daily operational support and leadership across all Residential Services areas, ensuring smooth, consistent service delivery.
  • Oversee licensing and compliance requirements for all residential sites.
  • Act as a key operational contact for Residential Managers, providing guidance on behaviour management, staff performance, and practice issues.
  • Provide regular reports to the Senior Manager on operational performance, workforce data, and compliance metrics.
  • Actively manage the completion of administrative tasks including data reporting and the use of AFSS processes and tools to manage workloads and priorities.
  • Maintain and model an ongoing commitment to continuous improvement in the provision of services to internal and external customers.

To be successful you will need

  • Valid and full South Australian Drivers Licence
  • Safe Environments for Children and Young People (Through Their Eyes)
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • As suitable via Psychological Suitability Assessment
  • First Aid Certificate (HLATAID003/HLTAID011/HLTAID012)
  • Cultural Awareness Training
  • Unrestricted eligibility to work in Australia
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Worker, Community Services, Management or a related field is desirable.
