Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Officer to join our dynamic team at our NSW production facility, located in Yennora

About the Role

Reporting to the National QA Manager, the Senior QA Officer will play a key role in ensuring compliance to food safety, quality, and customer standards. You will be the QA lead on site and help drive continuous improvement across all aspects of quality systems and site hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support daily QA activities on site
  • Conduct and oversee internal audits, GMP inspections, and process checks
  • Ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP, Food Safety Program, customer requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Manage non-conformances, product holds, and CAPAs
  • Assist in the training and development of QA and production staff on food safety and quality procedures
  • Support product launches, trials, and validation activities
  • Liaise with customers and regulatory authorities during site audits and inspections
  • Lead investigations of complaints, deviations, and quality incidents
  • Maintain accurate QA records and support documentation for compliance and traceability
  • Work standard business hours with flexibility as required

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a QA role within the food manufacturing industry, preferably chilled or RTE
  • Strong working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards (SQF/BRC a plus)
  • Confident communicator with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Experience with customer and third-party audits is highly desirable
