What We Are Looking For
Reliability Engineer – Maintenance Strategy Mechanical
Join our dynamic Reliability Engineering team focused on ensuring the optimal performance of rotating equipment through comprehensive condition monitoring and operational reliability support. As a key member, you will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of preventative maintenance strategies and tactics for assets at our facility.

Our responsibility extends to crafting component-level preventative maintenance strategies for an extensive inventory of over 33,000 maintainable items, covering both coal flow and non-coal flow assets on site. This intricate task involves managing preventative maintenance strategies through 5000 individual checklists meticulously designed for inspection and maintenance purposes.

At DBCT, we leverage cutting-edge technology to administer our Preventative Maintenance Strategy. Utilising industry-leading software tools such as OnePM, ensure application the best practice Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) strategy development methodology. This enables a systematic and efficient approach to maintenance planning, aligning with industry standards and optimizing equipment reliability.

To accomplish these objectives, our dedicated Reliability Team comprises three specialised Reliability Engineers, each focusing on Electrical, Mechanical, Servicing, and Structural disciplines. This collaborative effort ensures the holistic and robust management of assets, contributing to the overall success and reliability of our operations. About The Role
As a Reliability Engineer – Maintenance Strategy (Mechanical), your core responsibilities include:

  • Accountable for Mechanical Coal Flow Equipment PM Strategy:
  • Develop and refine preventative maintenance strategies for mechanical coal flow equipment, ensuring optimization of risk, cost, and equipment availability.
  • Assisting with Structural Integrity and Electrical PM Strategy:
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to enhance preventative maintenance strategies for structural integrity and electrical components.
  • Operational Reliability Support:
  • Assist Operational Reliability Engineers with asset performance analysis, reporting, and improvement initiatives, fostering a holistic approach to reliability.
  • Compliance and Improvement:
  • Ensure PM strategies comply with statutory and contractual obligations while leading continuous improvement projects focused on optimizing risk, cost, and equipment availability.

Key Tasks In This Role Involve

  • Equipment Management:
  • Develop equipment lists and organise PM tasks efficiently using the OnePM software, with a focus on optimizing risk, cost, and equipment availability.
  • RCM Analysis and Optimization:
  • Lead Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) analysis, optimizing maintenance tasks based on a balanced consideration of risk, cost, and equipment availability.
  • Task Documentation and Integration:
  • Develop clear PM task work instructions, group tasks into packages, and generate checklists for seamless integration into the JDE system using the OnePM Implementation module, ensuring an overarching optimization of risk, cost, and equipment availability.

By actively supporting Operational Reliability Engineers, you contribute to the broader success of asset performance analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives within our organization.

Role Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Mechanical or Boiler making trade

or

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree

Desired

  • Post Graduate qualifications in Asset Management, Reliability Engineering or Maintenance Management
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)

Experience

  • Experience in a Reliability Engineering Role or similar
  • Experience using Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) & OnePM Software (or similar)
  • Highly developed analytical skills and proficient in data analysis techniques and tools
