About The Role
As the
Service Delivery Manager
, you'll be accountable for the quality, stability, and reliability of production IT services. Acting as the key conduit between IT and the business, you'll manage major incidents, oversee problem and change management, and deliver service improvements that minimise disruption and maximise performance.
You'll also drive adoption of ITSM practices, lead a talented team across change, problem, knowledgebase, service asset/configuration, and availability management, and work closely with senior leaders to align IT service delivery with business needs. With significant interaction at senior leadership levels, this role requires a leader who can balance technical depth with business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Production Services team to deliver stable, reliable and high-performing Technology services.
- Manage major incidents, ensuring timely restoration of mission-critical services and clear communication to stakeholders.
- Own the lifecycle of all Problems, driving automation and prevention of recurring issues.
- Drive ITSM process adoption and continuous service improvement.
- Partner with senior leaders to align IT strategy and service delivery with business needs.
- Manage budgets, service costs, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Build a strong, future-ready team through coaching, succession planning, and leadership.
About You
You're a seasoned Technology leader who thrives in complex, enterprise-scale environments. You balance technical credibility with business acumen, and you're comfortable operating at both detail and strategy levels. You're collaborative, customer-focused, and skilled at building trust and alignment across diverse stakeholders.
What You'll Bring
- Experience in large enterprise technology teams.
- Strong background in ITIL service management, change, incident, and problem management.
- Expertise in ITSM frameworks and toolsets.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and manage large, interdependent programs.
- Strategic thinker with strong execution and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Relevant qualifications in IT, computer science, or related fields, with certifications in ITIL, Agile, or PRINCE2 preferred.
