About the role

Tea Extracts Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team on a contract basis at our production facility in Malanda, Queensland. As a Welder, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our manufacturing processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tradesperson to contribute to the growth and success of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

  1. Performing welding tasks to a high standard, including MIG, TIG and stick welding
  2. Interpreting and following technical drawings and specifications
  3. Preparing work pieces and setting up welding equipment
  4. Inspecting completed welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
  5. Maintaining welding equipment and tools in good working condition
  6. Collaborating with the production team to identify and resolve any issues
  7. Adhering to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

  1. Formal qualifications in welding, such as a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent
  2. Demonstrated experience as a Welder, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality work
  3. Proficiency in MIG, TIG and stick welding techniques
  4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  5. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety
  6. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
