Stone Will Landscapes is an award-winning commercial landscape construction & maintenance company based in Seven Hills and working throughout the Sydney Metro, South Coast, Newcastle and regional NSW areas. The company works for a range of clients and project types including education, commercial, government and public domain. With a newly appointed management team and a solid book of upcoming opportunities we areready to take on bigger challenges and are looking for an estimator to join and help our Pre-Construction Team grow

What's the Job?

This is a sales/estimating role based in our growing pre-construction division, working on varied hard and soft landscape projects (and occasional civil project), ranging from $500K up to Multi-Million Dollar Projects for some of NSW biggest and best clients.

This role requires an individual who is honest, hard-working, reliable and loves a challenge. This role is to join an existing team under the existing Estimating Manager, to take on workload from a growing and diverse company and be part of the future growth and learning of this business.

You'll work closely with our Pre-Construction and Construction Teams to;

  • Liaising with clients to source new tender opportunities.
  • Reading, deciphering and preparing quotes from Landscape plans, specification and other documentation.
  • Obtaining quotes from subcontractors and suppliers of works not carried out in house and deciphering their inclusions, departures and viability to use for pricing and through to construction phase.
  • Construction and review of estimates prior to submission and completing tender proposal documentation.
  • Follow ups of the post tender process to ensure project wins and business development is increased.
  • And various other pre-construction administration/data analysis tasks.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Sound landscape construction knowledge and experience, either commercial or residential (Landscape experience preferred).
  • Detailed understanding of construction processes across Landscape & Civil works (Training will be provided).
  • Exceptional time management, organisational & communication skills.
  • Ability to understand set KPI's and how to meet and hopefully exceed requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office & experience with estimating software packages (preferably Benchmark or Cubit plus On-Screen Take-Off or Bluebeam) Training will be provided.
  • Strong sales, negotiation and communication skills and ability to build and maintain strong ongoing relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines when required.
  • Able to communicate well and provide necessary verbal and written documentation during handover with project construction team.
  • Be self-motivated, driven to win and able to work well both individually and within a team.
  • Ability to work fulltime in Australia.

This is a full-time position, based in our office in Seven Hills, reporting into the Estimating Manager. Remuneration offered will be proportionate to your experience and skills.
