Learn to Swim Instructor – School Intensive Program

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Learn to Swim Instructors to join our school intensive swim program running from mid-October to mid-December in Redfern. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about teaching children water safety and swimming skills while contributing to the wellbeing of our community.

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality swim lessons to school-aged children
  • Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Supporting children to build confidence in the water and develop lifelong skills
  • Engaging with families and the community in line with our mission of fostering connection, learning, and opportunity
  • Adhering to program guidelines, safety protocols, and pool regulations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience teaching swimming lessons (school or community programs preferred)
  • Current AUSTSWIM (or equivalent) and First Aid/CPR certifications
  • Morning availability essential; early afternoon availability highly regarded
  • A positive, patient, and energetic approach to teaching
  • Commitment to supporting community engagement and inclusive participation
