How will I help?

Reporting to the Head of Performance Optimisation, Portfolio Insights & Optimisation, this role is pivotal in shaping Private Wealth strategy and driving sustainable revenue growth. You will lead initiatives that improve business performance, enhance banker and client experiences, and deliver tangible earnings uplift while maintaining a strong risk and margin focus.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to work closely with specialist teams (including finance, analytics, product, and technology) to turn insights into actionable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Performance & Strategy: Identify opportunities to optimise portfolio performance and deliver initiatives that support growth and margin improvement.
  • Pricing & Portfolio Management: Support development and execution of pricing strategies and portfolio tactics that align with Private Wealth objectives.
  • Client & Banker Experience Transformation and Cross-Bank Collaboration: Champion improvements to banker workflows and client engagement through process enhancements supported by digital solutions (e.g., Power Apps), while partnering with stakeholders across the Bank to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions.
  • Earnings Growth Initiatives: Drive projects that unlock incremental earnings (e.g., deposit repricing, capital optimisation) and deliver measurable financial outcomes.
  • Risk Management Innovation: Support initiatives that strengthen risk controls and embed process improvements to optimise liquidity and credit risk exposure.

What do I need? 

  • Degree qualified in a business-related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in financial services, ideally with exposure to strategy, pricing, or portfolio management.
  • Proven ability to deliver commercial outcomes and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Senior Experience within a Wealth Management background will be highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of financial products and risk management principles.
  • Comfortable with technical concepts and able to engage confidently with analytics and technology teams (e.g., strong knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau as well as strong knowledge of SQL and related tools).
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing skills, and strategic thinking.
  • High integrity, proactive mindset, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
