About the role

Albany V Belt & Rubber in Albany, WA is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Parts Interpreter to join our retail team. This full-time role will see you providing customer service and product knowledge to our valued customers. Truck license is helpful as this can be part of your role to provide service to our customers in country areas outside of Albany.

What you'll be doing

  • Interpret customer requirements and recommend appropriate automotive parts and accessories
  • Manage inventory, reordering, and stock control to ensure availability of key products
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
  • Assist with general retail duties such as point-of-sale operations, merchandising.
  • Provide friendly and knowledgeable advice to customers, both in-person and over the phone
  • Support the broader team to achieve sales targets and business objectives

What we're looking for

  • At least 1 year experience in a retail automotive parts or service role
  • Agricultural knowledge useful along with the ability to correctly interpret customer needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for the automotive industry and a desire to provide solutions for our customers
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
