You'll be working one-on-one, supporting a client who values connection, independence, and engaging in the community. Whether it's assisting with daily living activities, facilitating social outings, or sharing in their love for music, you'll be an important part of helping them live life to the fullest.
Position Details
- Location: Heidelberg West, VIC
- Type: Casual (with the potential for ongoing work and additional clients)
- Shifts: Morning and evening shifts available – flexibility is essential
- Pay: Competitive hourly rate under a TFN arrangement – no need to worry about tax time headaches, and you'll have full workplace protections and superannuation contributions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing high-quality, respectful support tailored to the needs of a client with cerebral palsy
- Assisting with personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and mobility support
- Encouraging independence and building confidence through community participation
- Following an individualised support plan to meet physical, emotional, and social needs
- Bringing patience, empathy, and a sense of fun to each shift
About You
- Experience working with people with physical disabilities (experience with cerebral palsy highly regarded)
- Ability to manage complex needs while maintaining a calm, positive approach
- Strong communication skills to build trust and rapport
- Interest in music – and if you can play an instrument, that's a huge bonus
- Flexibility to work both morning and evening shifts to meet the client's needs
Qualifications (Highly Valued)
- Cert III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or related field
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
