About The Role

The Florey Institute is seeking a compassionate and organised person with a background in allied health to provide communication support for young stroke survivors. This part-time role is ideal for someone from a clinical discipline, particularly in speech pathology, and a passion for working with young stroke survivors in supporting the needs of the Young Stroke Service (YSS).

What You'll Do

  • Provide tailored communication support to young stroke survivors
  • Conduct structured interviews (phone, online, or face-to-face)
  • Record and manage data using secure systems
  • Implement communication supports in alignment with the YSS Communication guidelines.
  • Assist clinical staff in developing communication strategies
  • Support YSS communication-focused activities and maintain accurate records

What You Bring

Essential:


• Bachelor's degree in an Allied Health or clinical discipline

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Strong organisational and data management abilities

Desirable:


• Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent

• Experience conducting qualitative interviews

• Experience in interacting with people with lived experience of stroke
