Essence Hotels and Apartments is a part of the UniLodge group. Our properties located at Chermside and Taringa provide four-star luxury accommodation, as well as meeting and conference facilities for your professional needs. We're the ideal choice for guests when it comes to medical stays, business, or events.

If you enjoy engaging with both guests and clients, and can bring warmth, care and professionalism to this role, then you will fit in well with our small team of guest-centric professionals who are passionate about making our guests stay as comfortable as possible. 

The Role

Offering best-in-class customer service, you will be the first point of contact for all Essence guests and visitors. You will make accurate and timely reservations, respond to enquiries via phone and email in a proficient manner and endeavour to achieve a positive guest experience for all. Putting your upselling techniques to good use, you will promote our hotels and the Essence brand to maximise room occupancy and promote available hotel services and facilities. Employing your knowledge of local areas, you will offer insights and make recommendations to our guests during their visit..

The Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will be reliable, engaging and showcase their bubbly personality through their exceptional communication skills. You will contribute to enhancing the overall guest experience from check-in through to check-out. You will work comfortably within an everchanging environment, and will have the ability to remain calm, efficient and organised during peak periods. Considerable administration and computer skills are also essential in this role.

Ideally you will have hotel or conferencing events experience and/or strong administration skills and will be motivated for a career across the hotels and accommodation industry.  

Our mandatory requirements include:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
  • National Police Check (completed within the last 3 months).
  • State Driver's Licence
