The Role

As Practice Manager, you'll be the operational backbone of the firm, ensuring advisers, brokers, and support staff can focus on delivering outstanding client service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership & People Management – coach and support a small but talented team; foster a positive, high-performance culture.
  • Operational Oversight – manage daily workflows, scheduling, and resource allocation across financial planning and mortgage brokering functions.
  • Compliance & Risk – maintain and improve processes to meet all regulatory and licensee requirements.
  • Financial & Business Support – monitor budgets, manage supplier relationships, and report on key metrics.
  • Process Improvement – identify efficiencies, implement new systems, and drive continuous improvement across the practice.

About you

  • Proven experience in practice or operations management within financial planning, mortgage brokering, or a related professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance obligations (ASIC, NCCP, and relevant financial services regulations).
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Confident with CRM and workflow management systems; comfortable improving processes and introducing technology solutions.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to build trust with advisers, brokers, support staff, and clients alike.
