Regis Resources is an ASX 200-listed Perth based gold production and exploration company with a proven management team and a successful track record of developing mid-sized gold operations. Regis is a purely Australian gold miner with significant open pit and underground operations, which includes the 100% owned Duketon Gold Project and a 30% ownership of the Tropicana Gold Project, both in Western Australia. In FY25, Regis expects to produce between 350 thousand and 380 thousand ounces of gold and has a current market capitalisation of around A$3.6 billion.
The current mine site locations are in the Northeastern Goldfields of WA, with multiple mining operations both open pit and underground. This is an opportunity to join a high performing team, working collaboratively towards a future production profile of up to half a million ounces of gold annually.
Description
The opportunity
Reporting to the Resource Development Manager, the Superintendent Geologist – Resource Development will principally be responsible for prioritising and coordinating the planning and execution of drilling and sampling programs, including interpretation and geological modelling, to define and develop the Company's mineral resources, ore reserves and ore body knowledge in line with Regis corporate strategy and objectives.
Together with your Resource Development team, you will work closely with members of the Exploration, Mining and Resource Estimation teams to safely execute drilling programs and accurately collect and maintain data in both surface and underground environments across a diverse range of gold mineralisation styles and settings.
This is a site-based role working on a FIFO 8:6 roster at our Duketon operations.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
Ensure work programs are carried out safely and efficientlyCoordinate the planning of infill and extensional Resource definition drilling programsPrepare documented work proposals and conduct peer reviewsPrioritise work programs according to business strategy and tactical requirementsEnsure all data is accurate and validated prior to incorporation into database and modelsCoordinate interpretation and updating of geological models for Resource Development projectsPreparation of periodical technical reports as required i.e. project completion, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annuallyCoaching, guiding and training team members and ensuring personal development plans are prepared and executed for direct reportsSkills And Experiences
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have:
Strong leadership skills together with organisational and technical skillsA degree in Science (Geology Major)Advanced understanding of mineral systems, especially orogenic goldSound understanding of secondary mineralisation processesAdvanced geological logging and interpretation skillsSound knowledge of structural geology, alteration systems and controls on gold mineralisationProficiency with 3D software packages such as Leapfrog or GISKnowledge of database managementWhat we can offer:
